Onward Cretin Soldiers

Another attitude adjustment. SO many more have much worse choices than I do. Sorry for the 'down' post.
This is the part I like. Meeting people.
My new maid is young, industrious, ambitious and funny. She sings beautifully and is showing me how to cook "Indian style". She asked me today when my birthday was. February Ninth, I told her. She squealed and giggled because she thought so. Her own is February 2cd. We, oddly, think a lot alike.
I met an Aussie lady who just came from Brazil. She was there for four years. She's can drive a Ducati bike. She's just a slip of a person with a huge personality. I like her. I'm amazed at how we miss each other's humor because of language variations, then laugh a little late when we 'get it'. It's good to laugh, and have someone to go places with.
I don't do things the way most here, do. I don't mind making mistakes by trying something. So I go to the local shops and if they don't have what I want, I ask if they can get it, or know where it's available. Then I don't have to ride for two hours just to get a sheet. somethings you do though. I don't make people hurry. I think hurrying is one of the banes of life, these days. fast everything.
I'm not much of a shopper. I like to make things, and reuse them, and refurbish things. I love wood and stone. natural things. treasured old things. I will make a trip to the plant shop one of these days. I will put big bushy plants on the balconies, and trailing ones all over the house. When I find one, I will put that Sheev Linga on the stand I already have. When I figure out how to, I will draw it here for you. Pretty soon we will have furniture. Most of it had to be made. I have some that is made of local cane. It's quite nice, and earthy. a computer table and a chair.
Life is for living. It flows and changes. A good adventurer takes it in and flows with it. Knowledge is infused all thru the journey. You can make plans, but the end of the path is always a mystery. That's part of the draw, isn't it?
